Jennifer Weiss – Owner and artistic director of Spotlight Productions is Canadian professional skater/choreographer Jennifer Weiss. While traveling the globe performing alongside World and Olympic Champions in acclaimed TV specials and international tours, Jenny earned her Bachelor’s degree with distinction through Queen’s University. She has choreographed original works for Audi, Mercedes, Samsung, Volkswagen, ARD TV, Münchenmusik (Munich Philharmonic Orchestra) and of course, Spotlight Productions. Jenny has also directed a number of Opening Ceremonies, including the 2004 World Figure Skating Championships, the 2010 Ball des Sports, “The World’s Largest Ice Rink” and the 2013 Sportpresseball.
Daniel Weiss – Company founder Daniel Weiss is a former two-time German Champion who competed successfully on the international skating circuit. He was referred to as “the beacon of artistry in all of Europe” by Canadian skating legend Toller Cranston. Parallel to an illustrious career as a professional performer, the Bavarian native began producing his own shows and commentating World & Olympic Championships for Eurosport TV. In 1996 Weiss was recruited by ARD TV and became the voice of German figure skating. He now works full time as a sports journalist for the ARD-affiliated TV station Hessischer Rundfunk in Frankfurt. The fast-talking skating expert garnered widespread attention during his stint as the “mean” judge on the German reality TV show “Stars auf Ice.” Weiss continues to lend his voice and charm to Spotlight Productions events as MC.
Christiane Tricarico – Spotlight Productions’ Project Manager is no stranger to the stage. Christiane Tricarico earned her Theatre Arts degree, while working as a Stage Manager, before ultimately landing the position of Event Manager with the largest Classical Producer in Southern Germany. As Production Director at MünchenMusik for 13 years, Christiane oversaw countless productions, including concerts and innovative ice shows. The successful collaboration between Münchenmusik and Spotlight, which has spanned 10 years, redefined ice entertainment, by bringing world-class figure skating into a classical concert hall. In her present role at Spotlight, Christiane brings her passion for music and exceptional organizational expertise to the “big” ice.
